Voice-mail – 30 sec. long voice messages sent by Meteor burst, up to 1 min. delay waiting for next burst.

Location – Global Positioning System receiver which can operate in cars, buildings, forest, etc. can be put in the LifeWatch since the meteor burst base station will have the GPS capability. Location is essential for those who are lost, travelers, and long-haul drivers. Note that 40% of 911 emergency calls in the US are currently from cell-phones – which lack location information.

Communications: Meteor Burst: one base-station covers a region 2000 miles in diameter,  Cell phone: one base station covers a region approx. 25 miles in diameter (typically spotty US coverage especially in buildings, suburban and rural areas) and does not provide location information

Panic Button – easily call for help – perhaps a single button (typically need to tell the type of the emergency). Also, 3 quick strikes to the LifeWatch will activate it’s panic alarm – essential if one arm is disabled by stroke, auto accident, etc.

Sense sudden cardiac arrest by monitoring pulse rate.  Note: 120,000 people die annually in the US of sudden cardiac arrests were unobserved by anyone who could call for help.

Prediction of sudden cardiac arrest and strokes may be possible for LifeWatches analyzing the heart rate variability

Location of the emergency may be essential, but may not be available for LifeWatch models without GPS.

Lost LifeWatch wearer – such as lost in wilderness, lost child, Alzheimer patient, etc.

Help another person who is having an emergency, but does not have a LifeWatch.
