Part II Q2: What will be the organization’s sources of financial support?
Majority of funding for Skyaid Organization is expected from US and
international foundations as well as private individuals who want to improve
health in their community.
Funding foundations in size order are:
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Paul G. Allen Health foundation
Kaiser Foundation
David Packard Foundation
GIH Funding Partners
Donald W. Reynolds Foundation
Retirement Research Foundation
National Council on Aging
Q3 Describe the organizations planned fundraising program.
1) Develop public awareness of the Skyaid Organization thru conventional
media and the Internet.
2) Get endorsements from many stakeholders. Just the A’s of the
potential endorsing organizations are:
American Association of Retired People, American Association of Critical
Care Nurses, American College of Chest Physicians, American College of
Emergency Physicians, American College of Cardiology, American Heart (and
Stroke) Association, American Hospital Association, American International
Health Alliance, American Medical Association, American Red Cross, American
Stroke Association, Association of Air Medical Services.
3) Fundraising program will target a small number of organizations and
individuals and companies around the world. The program will primarily use volunteers who have
personal contacts. Paid professionals (generally on a contract basis) will
create the communications material needed for all of the fundraising phases.
Mass mailings are not anticipated.
4) Support those communities with communications material that wish to raise
funds to prioritize their community for initial Skyaid implementation.
Part II Q4 Information about organization’s governing body
The Skyaid Organization has postponed attracting officers, directors, and
trustees, until it has IRS letter of determination. It has been difficult to
get participation in an organization prior to the letter of determination.
The Organization does not plan to pay the trustees, but the officers and
directors will generally be paid salaries commensurate to those in similar
commercial positions.
