Moller News Jan 2001  added 1/19/01

Dear Enthusiasts,

As we all wind down from our holiday celebrations, the Moller team regroups and continues to progress steadily toward the initial M400 test flight. Engineers and machinists continue implementing improvements that recent ground tests have proven necessary.

Administrative officers continue to assist our SEC experts towards the goal of acquiring public trading status and harness the recent boom in Skycar interest.

For many years, one of our most important goals has been to generate a very steady thrust from each nacelle so that the thrust control computers do not see a variation of RPM except as a demand either from the electronic stabilization system or from the pilot. Any unwanted RPM fluctuation in effect becomes "background noise" reducing the signal to noise ratio. In recent tests we have been able to stabilize the engine RPM within ± ½ %. This is important because RPM variations are typically less than 2% during control inputs. To achieve this improvement required a change of the blade root airfoil section. The accomplishment of this task has been a little delayed as each member of our very specialized team was encouraged to take a little time off to spend with loved ones over the holidays. As the team is now in full attendance once more, we expect to complete this job within the next two weeks. This is the final significant task prior to concluding improvements on the M400 nacelles. While testing the fan performance we have also tuned the algorithms that provide automatic engine throttle control leaving us very optimistic for our first lift-off.

Our effort to provide all of the required material for public registration continues. The few remaining historical details are being turned over and we anticipate that both our financial and legal consultants will have processed all of the materials within the next couple of weeks. We hope that this filing with the SEC will be the beginning of a new chapter in our progress towards making the Skycar a revolutionary new transportation alternative.

We are also very pleased that the military is investing a significant amount of time evaluating our technology. We hope to provide a summary of their findings in the near future.

In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who were able to come out and support us at our recent exhibition at the LA Toys for Big Boys and Girls show. The show was an overwhelming success. So much so in fact that we have begun plans for additional exhibitions in Spring 2001. Proposed sites for follow-up shows include, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and several sites in Malaysia.

As always, we appreciate your support and enthusiasm. And, as we know you are as eager as we are to get this "off the ground," updates to this site will be as prompt and detailed as possible.

Happy New Year and thank you again as your moral and financial support has made the Skycar possible.

Sincerely,

Paul Moller
President
